Does anyone know if the vouchers have to be used, or if you can roll them over to the next exchange/save them up?

I haven't been shopping with Tesco long so only have around £5 voucher due.

Each voucher you have will have an expiry date on the voucher (the same expiry date will be on them on your online profile if your at all registered with them, even if you don't order from them/have not ordered from them for years and years).

The vouchers you have can be doubled up in store or online to spend on whatever you can afford within the options Tesco give, if you don't double-them-up they don't expire until the date specificed, if you do double them up but don't use them they just go back onto your clubcard account as points and the new vouchers get mailed back out to you in the next mailing. (At least I think this is how it works!!)

T&Cs state that they cannot be converted back into points.

    So that's another new thing!

About 2 years ago (April 2011) I spent my points on an ipod touch. I had some left over and they were sent right back to my clubcard. If they've stopped doing that then thats just one of many things they've cut back from the 'customer'.

I don't really know why this suprizes me, it just seems a bit mean.

If you use a voucher to double up and the original voucher comes to more than you double up the points left over do go back on to the next quarter.

Tesco also used to credit in date but unused reward tokens if you sent them back to them but they no longer do this as from 13th August, 2012 exchanges.

How do you get them to double up? ie. is there a button to click onto to convert online vouchers?

You can only double up when the Double up exchange is on.

The next one starts on 1st november.

You go onto the normal rewards pages and there is a link to the departments that are in the offer. You choose which department you want i.e clothes, small electrical, etc. and you are emailed a code to input when you order.

They are usually in £10 amounts so if something costs say £19.99 you would exchange a £5.00 voucher for a £10.00 code and pay the other £9.99 by cash.

You can also double up in store.

    You are very welcome.
  • I'm pretty sure you don't have to specify the department now when doubling up online. Think you just double up £5/£10 etc and spend it within the catagories, unlike instore where you have to. It does make it easier
