I have a Sky + HD box that I haven't used in a year. I want to put it on Ebay but ws wondering if I need to do anything? I have a lot of stuff on there that I have recorded that need to be deleted.
If I sell it on Ebay I am concerned that my details will be related to the HD box?
Can anyone help?

You can sell the box as it is yours and not part of a subsidised contract.
Hence you see alot selling on eBay etc.
Don't worry too much about the stuff recorded the new buyers can delete this or you can do it pre selling.
Theres not alot anybody can do with a SkyHD box in respect of your details though.Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.0 -

I assume that you cancelled your subscription with Sky a year ago. As soon as your cancellation became effective, your subscriber card will have been disabled and the box will now not play any recordings.
It doesn’t matter what recordings are on it. Anybody who buys it will need to subscribe to Sky, and get their subscriber card paired with the box to watch any recordings on it or to use it to make new recordings.
Sell it and forget about it. You won’t get a lot. They sell for about £30 depending on model.
You could do a system reset to delete all recordings but frankly you are wasting your time. Sky don’t care what happens to it or what is recorded on it. They are being sold every day on Ebay and elsewhere. Anyone who buys one will probably take out a Sky subscription so Sky may benefit.0 -
All the new owner will need to do is to contact Sky to repair the card (that is what they call it) and give them the new model and serial numbers so they can see all of their paid channels. Normally if this isn't done, about half of the family pack will not be seen and all of the movies and sports channels.
If they don't subscribe to the movies and you leave a movie on the drive, they will not be able to watch it unless they subscribe to the movies.0 -
So just delete all the embarassing stuff you (may) have recorded. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Ebay appear to be doing free listing weekends every 2 or 3 weeks so you probably won't have to wait long.0 -
