EON - Fixed for 12 months billing query

We are currently with EON for Gas and Scottish Power for electric. I've done the comparison sites and the maths and it looks like it would be about cheapest with switch the Electric over to EON and go on their fixed for 12 months duel fuel tariff.

My question is (and I can't find and answer on the EON website) if you go on a duel fuel tariff from them do you get just one bill a month/quarter or do they keep the electricity and gas bills separate?

We would continue to pay by debit card or cheque when the bill comes in. I know DD and online billing would be cheaper but its hard enough to get my parents to switch providers let alone change how they pay. One step at a time and all that

You get one bill with a breakdown of both uses and charges, one total.
Monthly DD 1/4ly bill.

Excellent thanks. I'm assuming we would just have to pay on receipt of the bill as above we wouldn't be going down the fixed costs a month by DD route.

Not sure what the gen is for quarterly payments, I expect you will see info on payment options if you went to sign up.
I am sure tomorrow the Eon rep will respond to this thread and confirm the set up for quarterly payments.
Monthly DD payments are based on estimated usage and are adjusted if you use more or less than you pay monthly for.

Most of the cheapest tariffs (but not all) require payment by fixed monthly DD.

If you wanted to bring the electric over to us that would be fine, we can then link it to your current account so you can have OneBill (both gas and electricity charges showing on the same bill).

If you have an online account, you will be able to view both fuels with the same username.

If you wanted to pay by Monthly Direct Debit, we would take one amount to cover both the gas and electricity.

Depending on how you pay/or are online will depend if you get a quarterly or six monthly bill.

If you wanted to carry on paying with your debit card, you can do it over the phone or online and you would pay on receipt of the bill.
