Fashion Brand Limit?

Hi,
I've been selling on ebay for a while now. I'm a private seller and only sell items that myself or my son no longer want or need. As my son has moved away to Uni I'm having a real clear out and have been selling a few bits and bobs I've found laying around, He usually buys branded clothes and I've never had trouble selling items in the past but I just went to list some new shorts (having already listed the matching polo shirt) and was given this alert from ebay
You cannot submit your listing due to the following problems
Alert
You’ve reached your listing allowance and you can’t list any more of certain top fashion brands in Clothing, Shoes and Accessories.
You can list up to 3 top fashion brands in any 30 consecutive day period. You’ve reached your listing allowance for this period, but may list an additional 3 items involving top fashion brands in Clothing, shoes and Accessories the next 30 day period. Learn more about listing allowances.
You can register as a business if you buy items to resell, or you produce items specifically for sale. In some of these cases, your listing allowances may be increased. Learn more about registering as a business.

I'm definitely a private seller with 100% feedback on over 600 items since I registered in 2004.

Is this something new as I've definitely listed more branded goods in the past. The shorts I was going to list are the same brand as the polo I've already listed so does ebay mean 3 items in 30 days??

I'm confused!

The limits have been in force for quite a while now and it is unlikely that as a private seller you will get them increased any time soon.

Thanks Soolin. I guess the reason it's not happened before is that I've always listed used items but I found a few things which are brand new that my son never wore because he lost weight.
And thank you for the tip about the 1st of the month - I'll see if I can list the other items then.
