Does anyone know where I can get a spare cable for my hover mower?
This is a link to the one I've bought:

Just can't find a cable anywhere.

Why do you need a spare cable?? Damaged it ? is it the one from switch to motor or switch to socket?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

If the one you have is too short then Argos also do extension leads at http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/searchTerms/EXTENSION+LEADS.htm or just put extension leads in the search box at the top of the page showing your mower linked above.0

It's not the usual 3 pin plug, it's a european 2 pin female at the lawn mower end & the other end is a 3 pin uk plug.
I have a regular extension cable. No use without the cable that vame with the mower.0 -

I'm most surprised its a female at the mower end. It would be all to easy to accidentaly hold the male end whilst the 3pin was in a socket.the_devil_made_me_do_it wrote: »It's not the usual 3 pin plug, it's a european 2 pin female at the lawn mower end & the other end is a 3 pin uk plug.

The 2 pin plugs are round, so those ones you kindly found won't fit.
I did telephone Argos & spoke to their spares department, where I was told that their Qualcast range all use the same cable & that the cable is no longer available
Argos are still selling their Qualcast products knowing that the customer won't be able to buy any spare parts.
Also, these Qualcast products are only under license from Qualcast. So the Argos version is an import from China. This info is not given to the customer. I found this info out when looking on the Qualcast website looking for spares.
I bought this mower as I believed it was a branded product which would have spares readily available. Can't even find any compatible parts.
Basically, the blades could even break & I wouldn't be able to get new blades for it.0 -
go to see a reputable mower service and repair centre, the likes of Argos and B&Q are only interested in flogging things. Its quite likely that parts are available and the mower people will be able to advise you.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
