Help!
I have just bought my very first house with my fiancé (which went very well after great advice of this board and Mr Brown saving us ££££ on stamp duty!)
I have sorted out gas, electricity and water as best I can for the time being but next on my list is telephone, Tv and possibly Internet!
Can anyone recommend the best deals at the mo for just telephone, telephone/tv or telephone/tv/internet! Not sure on what to go for.. Read some articles on the site and still not 100% sure. Any help/ideas much appreciated!

Congratulations Mr P

First of all, is it a brand new house that you have to put a telephone into or do you know if its BT or Cable as this will help in answering your questions!0 -
I think it had a BT line in it. i rang BT gave details and they said they would connect me for free. i also seem to recall he may have had NTL for TV!£2008 for 2008 club No. 286

Your next choice would be then if you want to have cable television or not?
If you decide on going with BT, the best offer at the moment is Onetel offering free w/end and evening UK calls for one year and using 18866 for daytime calls at 0p per minute for UK calls with a 2p connection charge.
You can use both with NTL if you decide to go with them for line rental and television and/or internet.
If you decide on BT you then have a greater choice of internet providers!0 -
NTL are doing all 3(broadband,phone and tv) for £30. http://www.home.ntl.com/page/3for30 ,You have to pay £75 set up fee. Then use 18866 as already mentioned.0

If using NTL, then you wouldn't want to use 18866 for UK landlines, as from cable lines they charge 0.5p per minute + 2p connection, BT lines it is just the 2p connection, with their sister company 1899 from an NTL line they charge just the 3p connection charge.
Also other charges will be cheaper with 1899.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
On that NTL link it states FREE set up fee worth £750
