Have had a case opened against me

You would be surprised how many sellers actually do believe that if they click "No Returns Accepted" that it absolves them from all responsibilites if it does get lost or damaged. Almost on a daily basis one such seller comes along.I think anyone with a brain would work out that 'no returns accepted' doesn't count when the item doesn't turn up, or the item is SNAD
I would always contact the seller first to try to resolve before opening a case against them.
What you or I would do isnt really the issue. What sellers need to do is to try put themselves in the shoes of the buyer and try to look at things from their point of view and from every angle.
I would bet that the op had "no returns accepted" on their listing.0 -
I've got no returns accepted on mine as well, but I also state in my profile that if they have a problem with their item, I will do my best to resolve it if they contact me first. Doesn't make any difference, none of them bother, they don't even want a refund, they just leave crap feedback. I've received something with a whacking great hole in the middle of it before. I messaged the seller, she apologised and sent me a new one and told me to keep the other one (it was only cheap anyway) I left her good feedback and didn't mention the hole or anything else as there was no need to. If she'd had no returns on the listing I would have still messaged her.
Besides, the OP's item went 'missing' so no returns doesn't matter in this case. They still opened the case without messaging the seller first for a refund or agreeing to wait and see if it turns up a bit later.0 -
Be thankfull you didn't have this nutter.
The buyer thinks the best way to let the seller know they don't want to proceed is via feedback.

At least Ebay have now introduced an option to report dodgy buyers. Maybe this will help weed out the scammers?0
