Posted 4th Oct tracking says handed to Japan Post 6th. No updates since then on RM or JP Post website (RM does track inside Japan now with ISF). On the phone JPP say they never recieved it RM says they did.
25 days from posting until I can start RM investigation.
About time to give up and refund? Or try and drag it out a while?
Just wondering if anyone else is finding RM to Japan is slow at the moment?

I don't get many sales to Japan so can't comment about speed. It really doesn't seem like very long though since despatch- is your buyer pushing for a refund or can you get them to wait A bit longer?
I sell a lot to Australia, I only ever use standard airmail though and I get some weeks wherein takes 6-7 days, the other times where it is taking 3 weeks. I refunded one a few months back after about 18 days and they re paid me after 4 weeks when it actually turned up with no apparent reason for the delay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yeah he's kinda pushing ... I think. Bit difficult to tell with the Japanese, obsessively polite and this ones written English seems a little limited.
17 days now and 3 parcels I sent a few days later to Japan arrived early/middle of last week.
Probably refund tomorrow.
Soolin when I list on .com I don't actually show as business seller probably because I registered as business seller on .co.uk.
Had any experience with RM claims and wether they check on .co.uk if you send them a .com print out? (This was listed on .com)
Don't have any proof what I paid for it and it's £420 so I don't imagine they'll fancy paying out.0 -
I haven't had an issue with RM paying out for years now, the last was a recorded item that went to a confirmed address that RM 'didn't like' and before that I was refused a payout as the buyer had been abusive to RM and as it was about 10 years ago I didn't fight it .
My stats are really not good enough to say what usually happens, I suppose in the last few years I've made about 6 claims, and I think only 2 of them on my business account required the original invoice for purchase as they would not pay out the sales price, the other 2 they just paid out the ebay price. I think I've made about 2 claims on my private account and neither of those required the original invoice- just the paypal details.
My figures though are really too low to be of any meaning, but it does show that even on a business account they don't always need the original sales invoice.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
