Hi
I began a claim for esa in august 2011
The medical assessment didnt happen until March 2012
I was put in wrag
The assessment gave a prognosis of "a return to work is unlikely for at least 2 years
Question - does this 2 year mark (when i guess they will do a review) start from the date of the assessment (march) or the date claim first made (august)?
Thanks

Assessment. But that can be from the date of the ESA50 or from the face to face, but is more usuallly the date of the face to face."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0

The prognosis you can expect to be used but they could reassess you at any time. I would think the prognosis will run from the DWP decision date (or the medical perhaps)... which in your case was probably around March/April. I would therefore, unless you're unlucky or health is reported to change, expect to receive another ESA50 form to begin the next assessment around 2 years from then."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0
