Hi.
Is there much difference in LCD,LED.
Am looking for a tv for dd..It will be to use the X Box on as well as watching tv.
Will one be better than the other?
Thanks.

They are both LCD tvs its all about how they are back light. Florescent tube old way or LED, led tvs tend to be a little cheaper to run as led is more energy efficient and also thinner tvs. It would be one factor in getting a tv but not main factor0

As Poppycat says, they are the same screens with different backlighting solutions. Both inevitably suffer from the same screen related issues (eg motion smearing) but the different lighting causes unique problems.
With LCD as the lighting is at the edge some will find the edge of a picture is brighter than the centre. With LED you dont have this issue but instead you get clouding - see http://www.technik-direkt.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/LED-Fernseher-Clouding.jpg for an extreme example of this.
Given a free choice I would go with plasma every time but plasma itself has two issues, firstly it has a glass front and so issues with more reflections, secondly the screens are much darker and so combined with the high reflections they dont work brilliantly in bright rooms or opposite windows etc.
Unfortunately I dont have a free choice due to a very bright room so went with the flagship samsung LED which handles motion well, does suffer a little bit of clouding but doesnt impact watching TV etc too much and copes well in the bright room.0
