Treating wooden flooring?

Hi we have a solid wood floor in our hallway and it has a few scuffs and paint marks and we would like to re treat it. Does anyone have any experiences of this at all that they could share with me. Thanks in advance :)

how bad it is and what is on it ?
if it is varnish then you can either strip it back to bare wood and start again or if it's not in too bad a condition then you can just give it a light sand , then revarnish , dulux do a tough varnish called diamond glaze which is ideal for floors or if you decide to strip it back to bare wood , you can give it a few coats of wax

Is there something you can use to assist in the sanding?

if you want to strip it back to bare wood , go to your local hire centre and hire a floor sander , or if you're not stripping , just give it a sand with an smaller hand held sander

Do you just paint the varnish/wax on or is there a special machine/tool for this? Many thanks :)

If you want a more natural look, then I used Treatex Oil throughout my barn conversion. Try here for your local supplier, its not cheap but it is fantastic.
