Twice today my laptop screen has gone blank.
The programs are still running as I can hear the music playing.
There was some windows updates earlier today, think they could be causing it? If not what else could it be?

Check your screensaver and power settings.
Right click on a blank part of the desktop and select properties. Open the screensaver tab and see if it set to "blank" after a certain number of minutes..
Open Control Panel and pick Power settings and see if it is set to switch the screen off.0 -
could be a loose connection between the body of the laptop and the screen, tends to be the cause of screen malfunctions....I had it on 2 of my laptops but I do use them an awful lot. Took them to bits and had a little tinker and hey presto!!
I only discovered it by wiggling the screen...however it could be summat different. not very helpful I know (sorry)0 -
I have checked all the settings and it is not the screensaver etc....0
