Hope this is in the right place! The grill has been left on and whole house stinks! I've started by opening the doors and windows. What next?!

It will take forever, open all the windows and wait. Maybe boil some water with lemon in, but if the smell is on the walls; ceiling' windows and furniture. You really need to go around cleaning everything.
The only other alternative is to wait and get use to it, then you don't notice it's there.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Cat litter! Buy a bag from the supermarket, quite cheap really. Put it n little trays/ saucers whatever about the place.
Cat litter is designed to absorb smells etc so it works well with all smells. Learnt the trick as a student as people would do it before parents/ landlords came round to absorb that student musty smell.
Then if you have leftover you can also use it the winter for grit if you or your car get snowed in!
