Self employed?

Hello there,
I'm about the start the process of joining a TV extras agency, and I'm unsure what the process is regarding being self employed?
Upon joining there is no guarantee of work, but if there is, it would be a small amount I could earn, around £200 per year minimum.
What should I do if I do join the agency regarding self employment, as I assume that's what I would fall under?
A little confused with it all so appreciate any help and advice

Hi there, a little more info would be needed e.g. current income, age, do you rent/own etc.0

firstly ask the agency for advice, then register with HMRC for self assessment0
