Waiting time before reporting non-payer on Ebay?

As the title suggests, how long does everyone wait for a payment before they contact Ebay to report non-payment?
I must've been fairly lucky 'til now as I've yet to have anyone not pay me for any items I've sold so I'm not sure what the next step is.
Thanks, Birdy.

I don't waste too much time at all and open an NPB usually on day 4 or 5. Yu can open a dispute as early as day 4 after auction ends.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks Soolin. I've just opened a non-payment case. Do I just sit tight now and wait for Ebay to contact the buyer? Is that the way it works?

I find if i do it before 6-7 days i get abuse. So i send a reminder after 4 days - and file after 6/7.
If the buyer has no feedback - i might do it after 4.0 -

The buyer now has four days to pay. If they pay then the case closes. If they don't pay, you can close the case and your buyer will get a strike and you will get your final value fees refunded and neither of you will be able to leave feedback, so best to block this bidder and sell again.0 -
Yes always a good idea to block any buyer that you have to open an NPB on.
One other thing, these strikes are important and can be used by a seller to weed out rotten buyers- so make sure you set your seller preferences to exclude bidders with two or more strikes. Looking at my logs that requirement has blocked over a dozen bidders on my business account in the past 60 days.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
