Leveling a Concrete Floor with Varying Depths

I'm converting a wet room back into a bathroom. It's a small room 3m x 3m, with a concrete floor.
The floor levels vary from 75mm at the shower drain (far end) to about 10mm at the door end (a sort of wedge shape, getting narrower towards the door).
I can't use screed at the door end because screed depth should be a min of 50mm.
Is it a case of screeding where I can and using self levelling for the shallow parts, or is there a better way?
Also, can I make up my own mix of self leveling compound? Buying bags from a DIY shed could end up expensive.
