Call the police and tell them someone has stolen it.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Joking aside it is not uncommon for the theft of the copper pipe that leads from an outside meter to a gas appliance to be the reason for a sudden loss of gas supply. And of course meters get stolen too,
Should this happen you should 1. if safe to do so turn the control valve on the pipework that leads into the meter to the off position by turning it so it is at a right angle to the pipe, 2. call 0800 111 999 and we will get someone out to make you and yours safe 3. call the police
You will be given a job number from the gas emergency service on the above number and will get a crime number from the police both,
If your meter has been stolen you will need to pass on the numbers to your supplier who will then arrange for a new meter to be installed for you.I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0 -
I would think if somebody has stolen the meter then regardless of switching off the supply the next action should be tonotify people in the immediate vicinity E.G. 3 or 4 doors either side, opposite and at the rear of the property, to immediately evacuate to a safe distance..
I would treat it no different to an IED - evacuate to at least 500 metres0 -

once you have turned the ecv off it should be fine, provided its only the meter thats been stolen.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
