Hi can anyone recommend a decent easy to use mobile phone with a tracking device if possible. My dad has Ahlzeimers and wears a hearing aid. My dad still likes to go out by himself but has been getting lost. When we ring him he cant hear the phone we have put it on vibrate but he cant hear what we are saying to him. So we were thinking if we had a phone that was compatible with his hearing aid but also had a tracking device we would feel better and so would he. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

This phone is compatible with hearing aids but doesn't have tracking. http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php/2206/doro-phone-easy-410--sim-free-unlocked--white--?gclid=CO6KnqLskbMCFanItAod3GAAog.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
Argos have a fair selection of hearing aid compatible phones. Their catalogue has a brief description of each of their products, and under 'phones', they always state whether each phone is hearing aid compatible. however, you will probably find the widest selection of hearing aid compatible mobile phones at Connevans: http://www.connevans.co.uk/store/viewCategory.do?id=2570450
Bear in mind that the hearing itself must have a 'T' switch, or for more modern hearing aids, an 'Autophone' function.
If the hearing aid is less than 2 years old (NHS) or about 5 years old (Private), then it's likely to be Bluetooth-enabled, so can be paired with pretty much any mobile phone (along with lots of other audio devices).
Tracking isn't a feature of mobile phones AFAIK.0 -
Check out handsets made by Doro - they are no frills, no fuss with large buttons and an SOS key to call someone you specify. Alzheimer's is a cruel disease, and how long the handset remains usable is anyone's guess (as everyone is different). My mum had to drop using her mobile because she couldn't get dial tone on it, and hung up by placing it face down.....0
