only, don't tell the cats it's not for them.

I do want it to smell of the cats and us and the other dogs so that new pup becomes familiar with the scents of us and eventually associates them with comfort and restfulness, not 'eat those cats' but I did not expect the bed to be so popular. One of the cats slept in it all last night.

One of our cats rules the dogs, but the other is scared of one of the dogs, She has no problem bossing the other one around, or her sister, but the other dog scares her and every evening when we settle down together she scarpers waits till they are settled and then comes back in. If the dog she doesn't like becomes restless she disappears again for a while.
The fearless one is amazing, she wanders around the horses with no fear, keeps just out of reach of the geese who snap at her, but never runs from them.0 -
I think it's only fair you buy the puppy another bed and let the cats keep it :rotfl:0

I would very much love the cats and the new pup to snuggle up, they both snuggle with the one dog, neither snuggle with the dog the less brave one dislikes.
It's likely the less popular with cats dog will not be with us as long as the other two
. She is getting on now, though is very well and full of beans now. But when she goes I would like to be left with an animal family that all get on very well. 0
