    Make sure that you take your own opening and closing readings at changeover though.

    Very good advice as it all depends on who owns the NETWORK eg cables powerlines meters ect that goes into your house in your case its scottish power. in other cases it might be scottish hydro or sourthen electric or somebody else ect.

    Most likely the newer meter is more accurate, the old ferranti style disc meters have the lovely habbit of wearing down the bearings and running slower, which means the customer is slightly better off :rotfl:

    Sounds like hogwash to me. :silenced:

    It is all relative. You don't use the same amount of electricity all the time.
