Car Insurance Theft * advice please

Unfortunately Ive had my car stolen this morning! I came home around 12pm and locked up the car and my front door. Was awoken by police at the door who had found the vehicle crashed not far from home at roughly 5am.
Officer says there was no ignition damage and car was started with a key, ive looked for my spare key at home which i cannot find atm. police also told us to check all doors when they were at the house and it seems the back patio door was unlocked! We cant seem to find anything else missing from home and I was taken to the scene to see my vehicle and collect my personal items from it!
it has now been taken for forensic testing and ive no idea what to do! contacted insurance this morning and notified them of what had happened and the crime incident no. etc...
should i have mentioned the spare key being missing and also the fact the door was unlocked!
in a real pickle just now, any advice would be appreciated.

Yes you should have mentioned it, the ins co will be wondering how the car was started and the fact there was no ignition damage.0
