natwest mortgage ppi claim.

Hi there.
I was wondering if someone could help.we took out a mortgage without ppi, or so we thought.but after ringing Natwest, it appears we've been paying ppi since we took out a 5 year fixed rate mortgage 4 and a half years ago.we said no to theppi but all i have as proof of that is our mortgage agreement in principle form, where it quite clearly states that we did not opt for ppi.the concern i have is that the amount on the agreement in principle is not what we ended up borrowing, as the house was valued too highly so we ended up borrowing less.does thus matter, and do you think i will be able to claim our money back?

If you complain on this basis the Bank will doubtless counter with the actual agreement where you signed for PPI. Mortgage PPI is not often deemed mis-sold because it doesn't suffer from the same faults as loan or credit card PPI. I'll be very surprised if you can report that PPI was added against your stated wishes, for example. The Bank will have a very detailed account of your needs and wishes.all i have as proof of that is our mortgage agreement in principle form0 -
But our actual agreement states that we did not opt for ppi0

the plot thickens and i have discovered more paperwork and letters from natwest.i recieved a letter from them to say thank you for applying for mortgage repayments protector, exactly a week later i have recieved another letter to say that they confirm they have cancelled the repayments protector. but yet they are still taking the money to this day?0

i rang nat west about 3 weeks ago and asked if i had ppi on my mortgage to which they replied yes, then i found our agreement in principle which stated we opted out of ppi, i then phoned them yesterday to make sure that we are still presently paying for ppi, to which again they replied yes, and now i have found these two letters which back up our claims that we never wanted ppi on our mortgage. So my guess is that i have a case to at least query why payments are still being taken , especially as we cancelled the policy in 20080 -
