EDF unable to charge for electricity usage

Changed to EDF dual fuel 12 months ago. I have not been charged for electricity since as EDF and my former supplier Scotish Power are in dispute about the electricity I used before switching. I have tried numerous times to enter meter readings online and it refuses to except them.
I'm worried I will recieve a massive bill once the dispute is resolved. What do I do as the dispute is not my fault?

Keep reading your meter and get an idea of the value of electricity you are using. Save the money needed: preferably in a high-interest account.

You are right: you will eventually get a massive bill. Since it is not your fault they will give you time to pay, but may decide to collect the payments by installing a pre-payment meter.

The EDF online system is not always great.
(I couldn't supply a gas meter reading for over a month shortly after I switched)
Give them a call and provide them with the meter reading. They should be able to produce you a bill, or otherwise explain why not :)

As long as you are putting the money in reserve, you are effectively receiving an interest free loan from EDF, so be happy.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
