ebay advise needed please

I bought an item on sunday 14/10/12 and paid via paypal straightaway but when i look at paypal on other transactions it says sent but for this particular seller it doesn't say anything.
I know my paypals ok because i've bought other things since but i'm worried as i haven't received my item and the seller hasn't marked it as dispatched.
I sent him a message yesterday asking why i hadn't received my item as the decription says 'allow 4-5 working days' but as yet have not received a reply.
The seller has completed other transactions and left feedback for others since sunday so i'm wondering if he's not going to accept my payment as he's not happy with the price it sold at and i don't know what to do now!

He can't not accept it if all the paypal ids were correct as it is automatic.

Does the payment show in your paypal account and if so what does it say under 'details'

I buy loads from ebay and very few of these orders show up as sent in my pp account so i wouldnt worry about that.
What was the despatch time in the listing?
The 4/5 working days for receipt is from the date of dispatch not date of purchase.If your purchase had a despatch of say 2/3 days it may not have been posted untill wednesday so may not be due until tuesday/wednesday of next week.
Also some sellers dont mark items as despatched in ebay at all.

I wouldnt worry about that its rarely marked as sent in my pp acount.

In that case there is nothing to worry about. That only gets updated if paypal postage is used.

I only use paypal postage for standard parcels and airmail items so none of my buyers would ever see their items marked as 'sent'

thanks for your replies everyone, i haven't been buying off ebay for long and have just started using paypal so i'm very grateful you've put my mind to rest!
