Travel insurance - pre-existing conditions

One thing has always concerned me about pre-existing conditions....if one has had say, a gall bladder removed due to gallstones, nothing more, or a troublesome appendix removed or a hysterectomy caused purely by fibroids on the womb or somesuch - would that still be classed as a pre-existing condition even though the organ is no longer there and the condition no longer exists? I don't have these, by the way, but just wondering? I have heard of insurance companies refusing to pay for all sorts of reasons, so those of you who've had them - do you declare them?

Sorry, are you asking us if a condition that does not exist is a pre-existing condition? :huh:

If in doubt, always best to disclose is my stance when dealing with insurers

Yes - I always declare any ops etc - but began to wonder about these situations...
