seller asking for trouble

I buy a lot of items from overseas as I assist a colleague in a business venture as well as running my own off ebay ones as well . I'm used to waiting 30-40 days for my stuff but I have never had this sort of 'thank you ' email before. My default is always to leave 5 * even when I have waited 30+ days for my goods, but I am already unreasonably wanting to mark this one down for their communication:

We have sent the xxx to you by envelope and it has no tracking number.

You can receive the xxxx within 40 days!

  • I had to laugh at the "we are not accept any neutral / negative..." Like they'd have a choice if you chose to leave it.

    Quite aside from anything esle, they do know they can either leave no feedback, or positive in return don't they? I'm sure you won't cry if they don't bother to leave you any. ;)

    On a related note, I saw some feedback on someone last night saying "Great buyer, we await your 5*s in return". I thought that was cheeky!

    I still come across the occasional seller with statements like 'any attempt to leave me a negative will be returned' or 'ebay do not allow you to leave me anything other than 5*'. I always wonder if they are really dim, or just not interested enough to bother reading what is going on with changes within ebay.

    That message was actually sent to me, and I have not so far received any goods from them at all despite having started ordering about 30 days ago or so.

    Whilst the messages are hilarious, they are obviously irrevalant to any feedback that you want to leave.

    If you are happy with the item when you recieve it , leave a good rating.

    If not, and they don't resolve the issue, leave the approppriate feedback.

    My feedback will reflect the transaction as it always does. However, they will be getting less than 5* for communication from me purely based on that message.

    I had a card in with one item I purchased telling me under no circumstances to leave negative feedback or they would report me to Ebay for slander and "deformation of character" (that's how it was spelled). I always love customer service that includes threats so accordingly they got a negative feedback for it. Without that stupid card it would have been a positive.
