Credit Card Confusion

Please can someone help?
I paid £1,484 for flights on N/W credit card. Flights had to be cancelled. Flight Centre credited the account with £923.67 leaving an outstanding balance of £560.33. In the meantime Visa take the full initial amount from my current account - £1,484. and I pay £280 into the credit card myself (don't ask)! So now according to my calculations I am in credit to the sum of £1,203.67...that's right isn't it? So how do I get the money owing to me back into my current account.
I always get myself into a mess whenever I use a credit card which is very rarely for that very reason. I need that money to live on!

For the first bit, just dispute the outstanding amount they haven't credited and ask your credit card company to transfer the money to your account if your in credit.0

Surely we need to establish if the OP was entitled to a full refund. Many tickets are only partially refundable (or not refundable at all) and sometimes agents levy a charge for processing refunds.0 -
Hello and thanks for respondingI'm not querying the forfeit I had to pay to Flight Centre. I just need to know if I've got my sums right and how to get Visa to return the outstanding money to my current account. Thanks0

Phone them up and ask them to send you the money. Shouldn't raise any eyebrows as they can see it is a refund/credit from the same place that raised the debit. May take a few days to hit your account though.Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0

Thank you!
As the Visa card was issued by Nationwide, do I contact them or Visa?I've already emailed Nationwide but have had no reply.0 -
Phone Natwest credit card customer services. http://www.saynoto0870.com should be able to provide you a geographic number. Not sure where their 'outside of the UK' number goes that is listed on their website. If you do phone a geographic number, it's often best to withhold your number so they don't know you're calling from the UK.0
