I have bought and used RSH vouchers several times from tesco clubcatd, and vounchers have always had a long expiry date.
The latest voucher, however, has a 6 month expiry! I am unlikely to use it all in 6 months
I have emailed them to see what they might do.

I found the RSH expiry dates confusing.
When I 'bought' them with my Tesco points it said something about a quite short expiry time (I can't remember exactly what it was) but when they appeared on the RSH site they appeared to have a 20 year lifetime!
They seem quite responsive to enquiries so you should get a sensible response quite soon.
I just wish they'd make the website a bit easier to use. I got extremely confused by their saying that you had to take the CC you used to purchase the tickets to collect them from a BR machine. Since I'd used vouchers there was no such CC.
It turns out that due to some sloppy programming by the people who produced the BR machines you need to put some (any) CC in, even if the transaction was entirely done with vouchers. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
We use RSH every time my daughter comes home from uni, and it has worked really well - as you say she just sticks any old card into the BRail machine and gets her tickets!0

Most Tesco Clubcard Reward tokens are dated - anything from three to six months.
If you are not going to use them within that time - you'll need to return them (before they expire) for the original points to be credited back.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -

It doesn't seem to work like that with RSH.
You never actually get any vouchers. A short time after you select them on the Tesco site they appear in the voucher section of your RSH account.
The ones I 'bought' last year still have an expiry date of Dec 31st 2020.
It would be very odd if they made such a dramatic change to the way that worked as a six month expiry date would make the system unusable for people who load up their account for regular trips - although still quite handy for one off trips. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Yes my a/c shows a load of old vouchers with an expiry of 2020 and my new voucher with 20130

If you have paid for your tickets entirely using e-vouchers you can collect your tickets from the self service ticket machine at the train station using any debit/credit card together with your order confirmation number for your tickets.
BTW... who is BR?0 -
Don't tesco club card vouchers last for 2 years? Don't redeem them for RSH until you need to use them. That gives you up to 28 months? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I assume he means British rail? Obviously they don't exist any more but I think most people know what he means. It's getting very pedantic this site these days! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
And that is clearly explained on the RSH website...
It's explained the now but a year or so back that question and answer wasn't there.
Presumably I wasn't the only person to go through a dialogue with their customer service to clarify just what was going on.BTW... who is BR?
It's an informal name to collectively refer to all the various components that make up the (non LU) rail network in the UK.
If you don't know who 'LU' are, feel free to ask. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
