LW <shoos away the BD> hope the arrival of your new house guest lifts you a bit xx
Hester given where you work......I think a rant on FB is probably the tame option if what you have to put up with is experienced in every department
BB hope Maud is still improving x

Good morning everyone
Checked weather forecast last night and it looked good for today so washing machine was on overnight and all washing is now on the line. Beds stripped and second load about to go in so fingers crossed for the weather holding.
We had an employee who was sacked for writing very rude things on facebook together with a photo including all his work details. Silly boy.
Still a week to go to half term here but GDD has broken up for hers already, I wish they would make them the same week.
Off out for a walk now and taking sandwiches with more Tesco glitch cheese, then having stuffed peppers for dinner, with goat's cheese topping for DH and Greek yoghurt for me.
Well wishes for sick people and pets, hugs to those who need or just want them. Have a super day everyoneLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hester - It was a stupid thing to do but if Management don't listen to staff they maybe feel they have no other option.
RR - Happy anniversary to your parents, hope you have a good day and DHs wrist is ok.
Happy Birthday to Sistercas's DD - I took my DD out driving on her 17th birthday on a really quiet road and then tricked her into driving home, not sure who was more scared, her or me!!
Bitsy - Enjoy having OH home and have a good time tonight.
Gentle hugs to LW.
After a day of non-stop rain yesterday we seem to be having a rest, not a sunny day but dry so far if not a little misty. Washing in the machine but it will have to go on the airers, hoover has been pushed round and both the fires cleaned out.
DD and I are still sharing a car and it's a nightmare, living in a rural location has its advantages but doesn't work when one of the cars is off the road. My car went to have some rust treated under warranty on Monday morning and I was told it would be back on Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. Phoned on Thursday and they had just ordered 2 new wings - What had they been doing for 4 days? It will be Tuesday when I get it back (allegedly!).
Work was really busy last night, someone looking for a cot but they were not where they should have been, ended up phoning the boss at home who wasn't happy but serves them right for moving things and not letting anyone know.
Not much planned for today, housework and ironing I think with a little book reading thrown in!!
Enjoy your weekends, take care. XX0 -

Lots to this morning, going to give the house a clean right through, catch up on any washing and the dh and I are going give the front of the house a tidy and clean the windows, phew after all that I think tea will be something quick and easy
Thanks for the suggestion of pineapple juice for dh and his sore throat. He seems a touch better this morning, it gets much better in the daytime it's the nights where he is in a lot of pain.
Weather fine here as well, just a bit overcast.
Just off for a quick cuppa and then will get stuck in. Have a good Saturday xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all, so bright here I had to wear sunglasses to walk the dog and kitten. Should have put WM on last night. First day of half term holiday and I slept in really late, hate that as I feel like I'm missing out on time to do my own thing.Shopping and cleaning to do as soon as I can get out. Happy Birthday to your DD sistercas, nice to have your other DD home too.Happy Anniversary to your Mum and Dad RR, hope you all have a nice day. Bitsy have a lovely weekend with DH. Morning all
Haven't even looked outside yet here! My cold is terrible and my asthma kept me awake all night. I am about to go dig around in my medicine drawer because I think I have a course of steroids in there that I didn't need last time my asthma got bad, which would save me going to the doctor. However, apart from the wheezing, I actually feel a bit better than I did yesterday - less achey and generally unwell.
In good news, I completely forgot to take in my Year 11 books yesterday so I have no work to do this weekend!!! They did an essay for me on Monday and spent the whole week asking when I would mark it, every time they asked I told them I would take them in on Friday and mark at the weekend. I was so brain dead with cold yesterday and I completely forgot, and not a single one of them said anything! Doh. It does mean I'll have to get them marked overnight when I do see them this week but it's my own fault. It feels very naughty to have NO work to do all weekend!
It's quite a good thing actually because I am going to have a proper sick day today. Pyjamas all day, bed and sofa, keeping warm and resting. Got to get together with my mum tomorrow to make wedding invitations so hoping to feel much better by then. I am planning to bring a load of recipe books to bed and work out my Christmas cooking, cake and chutneys and mincemeat and so on, and what I am going to do whenThis is the theory - I never manage to actually rest when I need to. Already the washing basket is screaming at me from the corner of the room even though it's not that full and I know it will wait until tomorrow or even my day off on Tuesday. And I can't go in the bathroom without wanting to clean it, even though just being on my feet is making me dizzy as I'm so bunged up. Hmmm we'll see!
Hester that's mental about people posting things on Facebook about work! I sometimes can't believe what some of my colleagues put on there. We know for a fact that the deputy head teacher who is in charge of Internet safety regularly looks at pupils' Facebook pages to check they are secure enough (and tells them if they are not) so do they really think he doesn't do the same to staff?!
sistercas happy birthday to your DD! I remember that excitement about driving lessonshope she enjoys her day.
moorhen, I'm so jealous of you! We have another week before half term. This will have been an EIGHT WEEK half term - horrendous. Usually seven is the max.
redruby congratulations to your parents and hope you have a nice afternoon tea
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and a well deserved rest. No doubt I will be mooching around on here during the day!0 -

Still grey and dismal, but supposed to be brightening up. I have done one load of washing and hopefully I will get it on the line.
We are going to Barton Le Clay Water village today, it is a shopping centre in Dickensian style.I am really looking forward to it

Boycie has settled well, he always does, he really is a big softie and doesn't leave my side and his tail doesn't stop wagging :rotfl:
Happy Golden Anniversaryto Redruby's Mum and Dad
Happy Birthday Sistercass's DDI hope the driving lesson goes well.

Good Morning everyone and happy Birthdays to those celebrateing and also congrats to those with anniversaries. It seems October is the one month in the year when I have no birthdays or anniversaries in my friends and family but come Novemer until March I have lots of them, 8 birthdays in December alone which is a nightmare
:) at times just thinking of what to buy.I've just stripped and changed the bed but its looking a bit damp at the moment so I may hang on until this afternoon and see if it dries up a bit before I wash them The washing machine is empty anyway so they will come to no harm in there
NSD today as I have more than enough to get me through the weekend I will be doing some baking later.Eldest DD and her OH went to see Cirque Du Soleil The Michael Jackson tour last night at O2 and said it was quite amazing, she is coming round tomorrow so I'll no doubt hear all about it I know the tickets cost them an arm and a leg, but as she said its a one off so worth going for the experience.
Well time I had a big cuppa to get me motivated I think have a great day whatever you are doing and <<hugs >> to those who may be feeling down or poorly
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -
Morning all,
Wow what a awful 18 hours ive just had. It started when my washer flooded the kitchen. Not just a bit but the whole drum. Hubby took it apart when he came back from work. I always check pockets when i wash the clothes but i missed a 5p peice that must have been in my sons jeans. It went straight through the drum, and through the outer covering. Hence having to go out last night and buy a new washer. Hubby wasnt impressed. He counted up ive had 3 washers in just over 3 years now. The others did break down but this time obviously it was down to my neglect.
We ate tea last night at 9pm, well i say ate, i burned it and it was uneatable. We ended up eating a ready meal though by this time no one was particularly hungry.
Oh and ive had words with both my son and daughter. Seems like its a good idea to air ones family arguments via twitter. I'm the only one that seems to think it matters and just because everyone else does it, doesnt make it right.
Hope your all having a good day all..... anyone got a spare corner of the world where i can escape to? Cause i could quite easily walk out right now. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
