Again, you have been told the "ins and outs" of the relevant employment law. What else do you need to know?0 -

Maybe she has thick skin, what happened happened, yes it was wrong but life goes on.0 -

you did all say managment wouldnt excuse poor performance to depression but they did.
No, they have told you to take some time off. They are playing it by the book, as you work with vulnerable people do you really think they want you in work when you are likely to make mistakes?
You need to play this very carefully, what you see as them being "nice" and "understanding", a more savvy person will see as you being managed out of a job.0 -

And a fair few people here at MSE still talk to me regularly.
No I don't like you much. You really haven't done anything to make me inclined to like you. But I don't have to like people to give them honest advice whether they like the advice or not. If you want to talk to me you know where I am - http://www.redundancyforum.co.uk/ What I think of you as a person would never change the advice that I would give you on employment law. And nor would I refuse to give someone advice if they needed it.0 -
Update folks.... Still off sick until the 14th.
My shifts have been changed so I do not have to do morning shifts anymore but still on full-time hours. Mostly lates (2-9pm) and maybe a couple of nights if no other male member of staff is on.
Regarding the probhation, I have been told to "Just forget about whatever happened, get yourself better come back and carry on as if nothing happened"0 -
So.... RESULT

You consider being off sick for weeks on end, and !!!!ing your workmates around a result?0
