HELP Toshiba 37" Regza TV

Hi I have a Toshiba 37" Regza TV. The screen went off.
I have sound. Have checked all cables etc.
I can't even get the menu to come up.
Any ideas please?

Model number of the TV? Turn it on in a dark room and try shining a torch in. Maybe the picture is still there, but the backlight isn't lighting it up. This could mean the backlight or the inverter has gone, and depending on the age, quality of the TV and the price, ease of repair, it may or may not be worth fixing.0
