Moving house, best deal, maintenance, replacement boiler!!!!

Hi, I'm after some help on working out the best deals I should be looking into....
I'm moving to a new house next week, the current gas and electricity supplier is British Gas, the gas boiler is >15 years old. I understand that the boiler still has parts manufactured for it.
In the long run I want to get the best outcome, so I'm happy to pay a higher tariff if I can get a better overall deal to include servicing/breakdown cover and a better value replacement when the boiler is beyond economical repair....
So, any advice welcome to help me decide what is best in the long run!
If it makes any difference, the boiler is in the garage and there is a hot water tank in the airing cupboard, the house faces south if something solar is worthwhile....
Thanks for any advice.

Use a comparison site to find the best energy supplier(s) for you.
Open a savings account and deposit what you would be prepared for servicing/breakdown cover, and in the meantime get some recommendations for a good local gas safe registered engineer.
If/when you do eventually need a new boiler, be sure to get at least a couple of quotes from local gas safe installers0
