Hi,
I was hoping to do a qualification in Psychology, but studying from home at my own pace. Have looked at Open University and think it may be a bit too much cash to spend and especially since it takes such a long time for a degree.
Would like to do it in stages over the years ... so looking for a course which would gain me a HNC or HND.
All help would be appreciated.

Firstly, if you are doing a psychology degree make sure it gets out Graduate Basis for Registration with the British psychological Society (see their website for list of courses) or you will have to study their own course all over again after your non-accredited degree.
Secondly the OU Psychology course is very well respected and excellent.
Thirdly - they have a student budget account to help you pay it off monthly.
And finally - you can pay with your tesco Clubcard vouchers which will give you four times the face value!!!! So get shopping at Tesco!
If you are really stuck for dosh then the OU do have bursaries/grants to apply for.
Go on.....you are going to be four years older anyway. Want to be four years older WITH a psychology degree or without one?!!0 -
Hello EMPTY PURSE
I'll move your thread to the 'Student' board.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

You don't have to do the full degree, you need only take it to certificate/diploma stage if that's what you want. The OU is really your best (possibly only) option and part time HE fees are pretty similar at all institutions. What are you hoping to do with this qualification?0
