We're all full time students, so we don't pay council tax . . . . getting the council to acknowledge that was a bit of a mission though!0

Council here in Scotland recently offered to do payments over 12m but prefer the 10m so have a bit extra Feb & Mar
Absolutely no benefit paying upfront when there's no interest for paying monthly0 -

£903.12 p.a. = £75.26 p.c.m. (Band A, 2 x adults, so no discount).
I don't see any incentive for paying the council tax in one lump sum. I rarely have that kind of money to spend on just one bill, but wouldn't do it anyway. I'd sooner stick it in a savings account and earn interest, even if pennies. Priority for upfront annual payment goes to those that may charge interest for monthly payments, i.e. insurances and so on.
I also refuse to pay council tax over 10 months. I always pay over 12, cue an exchange of stroppy letters between me and the council every April, who are near-insistent on the 10 month thing.0 -
I pay mine weekly, as I am weekly paid. I have a standing order set up for £25. It will be paid off in January.0

Monthly by DD so I get my 1% cash back on my Santander 123 account.0
