That reminds me, I've got one on top of the cupboard. Going away for a few weeks but will make when I get back!

It was the marzipan that had the short date iirc. My kids ate it all anyway, I bought six of these kits when they were reduced to £1 each! I've used four of them just for the ingredients, I must make the last two into cakes though. I made a couple of cakes just after Christmas when the kits were still an expensive £2 a bag, lol, and they were lovely.

Well the cake is now in the oven and it smells amazing :j

When I cut the bag open the fruit bag had a tear in it, the smell of booze was so strong! It was still all moist though, fingers crossed it turns out okay :)
Can't think of anything smart to put here...

Mine is due out of the oven in 20 minutes!
I added some more cherries and almonds because we love them.
Smells and looks lovely - will need to hide it so no one eats it before Xmas though:rotfl:

Mine's in the oven this very minute and smells great. Also not burnt and black looking which is why I gave up making my own...I think a foolproof kit cake is the way to go!

Made mine even though it was OOD, still got one to do. Feel like I've cheated though but couldn't resist at £2 each!!
