Offered one settlement for two PPI claims

Hi,

Apologies in advance, this is probably covered somewhere. I'm trying to help my partner through his finances Recently we followed the guide off here and placed two claims with Santander.
They've replied today offering a settlement- one claim number is listed quite prominently, and on first glance it appears to be a settlement offering for one claim. On closer reading, they've tried to lump both claims into one settlement. (Both were for loans, unlinked.)
Just a basic question, really- do we argue the figure and details with the bank, or take it to the Ombudsman? I'm a little unsure of the path to follow!

Thanks for any replies.

Depends. Is there a breakdown of how the figure was reached? Is it a full and final offer? Is it a goodwill offer?
    Ask them.
