Yes my credit is bad that why i know i was not eligible for one.

Well after all this happened i went to branch 3 times on Saturday to keep being turned away saying i did not have the right ID. When i called customer service all they wanted was my passport but i had not passed the credit cheque.

It all become too much and i have basically given up with RBS but i spoke to Co-Op regarding the account i applied to open with them and there rep said yeah everything was send out yesterday. I asked so has everything passed will i get my account to which she said everything passed at this end.

I wont hold my breathe though.

If your credit is really bad (i.e. undischarged bankrupt) then you wouldn't get an account at RBS. And yes you can get to the stage where you've been set up with online banking etc. and then the bank closes down the account because they see something they don't like. That something they don't like is usually really nasty like fraud or a previous bad relationship with the bank which had led to the customer being booted out.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch as others have said the AVU can close your account at anytime.

It happened to a friend of mine he applied for an account they sent him all the details debit card and pin. Then a few days later he received a letter from the AVU dept saying they had closed his account, with no explanation as to why.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.
