Help Fitting a New Grill Element.

I'm trying to replace the element in my grill and my electrical diy knowledge is not good. I have disconnected the cooker, so that's a good start, and removed the old element. But the new one only has 2 connectors, and I have 3 wires, red, green and black, that were connected to the old one as that had 3 connectors. Have I bought the wrong element or does it need the green(earth) wiring connecting differently? It's a Beko DC3631 cooker. Thanks for any help.
