Dell site was really slow during the afternoon, but it speeded up again, seems to have slowed down again.

Is a Pentium M cpu much better than a P4? Does the battery last a lot longer, or anything?

Yep a Pentium M gives the same performance but it uses less power when the computer isn't processing much which gives a longer battery life.

I've just ordered the 1150 (2.6GHz) by phone - the spec is here (better than has been quoted):

    http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/notebooks_Q1_W10_inspn_1150_N04111?c=uk&cs=ukbsdt1&l=en&s=bsd

Tip: - Phone up and INSIST on the spec on this page (inc dvd/cdrw) - they will quote a different spec, e.g. 2.4 instead of 2.6GHz, but stick to your guns. I was asked to go through the "customise & buy" section, but I refused as it comes up at a higher price!

    Good luck!

How much did you pay for this because combo drive ups the price by over £30.

Bargain if you got it at £379.
