After receiving the searches do the solicitors do anything else with them?

My council says 5 working days maximum for local authority searches to return.
It's now been 10 working days and nothing...
I received water today but on the paper it says it was released 10 days ago but i've only just got it now?
Is there any reason for the delay after they received them?

You didn't answer the question, have you asked your solicitor why there was a delay?
The solicitor has told me 3 weeks and it has been 2..
So in that way, there isn't any delay as of yet.
So I haven't asked them.
I asked on here to see if there is something else they do after they receive the searches before forwarding them..
If there isn't anything, Then i'll ask them what the delay is..0 -

It's been ten working days since what, your payment for the searches cleared or the conveyancer posted a cheque to the council? The conveyancer will read and check over the searches, otherwise it's pointless doing them. You must also allow time for Royal Mail to transport documents from A to B and B to C and for the solicitor to be otherwise occupied with his other cases.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Not all solicitors will forward searches automatically, or immediately they get them.
They may send a final report and include the searches and copies of other information received in answers to enquiries of the seller's solicitors all at the same time.
Remember some of the information can be quite technical and if they were simply sent without any explanation, or without following up points that appeared at first sight to be possibly adverse, then a lot of buyers would worry about them, often unnecessarily.
For instance we are often getting people getting all worried about radon when an Environmental search shows that 1-3% of homes in an area could be over the minimum level.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0
