Are Dailies worth it? (Even if you don't answer please take the poll)

I enter the multiple entry comps every day for all the prizes I want to win. Last year it was definitely worth it for me, I was winning from them about once a month, this year I've only won once all year.
Like all the comps I think its just down to having a lucky streak, overall I've won a lot less this year than in the previous two years. I just keep going hoping to get a good spell again.0 -
I know Ive already posted in this thread, but Ive just had a WEM saying Ive won from a woman's Own daily so yes I do think they are worth it ATM, though during a dry spell this feeling can changeCurrent Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:0 -
I enter the dailys, Ive had a few big wins from them, Like an Ipad2 and VIP tickets to the Reading festival.
I have been doing some of the same dailys for months, and still nothing ( I feel like giving up on these) I have a selected few i do every day, i don't do many dailys now.
But lately, I have been doing 200-300 comps a day (Including some dailys) And seem to be going through a dry spell..
The more i seem to enter, the less i seem to win?
lol..Started Comping again 26th November! Bring on the fun!Personalised Walkers, Burts Bees Lip balm0 -
I do the dallies just won a £250 leather jacket from Lookmag, entered that ones loads and some others have been doing every day in the hope of winning but have won smaller prizes on the dallies when I have only entered once or twice.0

I enter the dailies but only for the prizes I really like, whether they are big or small. Last year I won one of my best prizes ever from a daily mag - a Cath Kidston Sewing box! It wasn't an expensive prize but I loved it and still do! It has pride of place on my sideboard as it is too nice to put away!
The dailies are time consuming, so like I said, I only enter for the prizes I really like. I also tend to cut right down on them once the Advents start as otherwise I would have to comp 24 hours a day and I just cannot!
I think it is good to have a little routine going - mine is to get all my dailies done first thing in the morning then I know they are over and done with. And yes, I do have days when I think - OMG these are so repetitive - but then I remind myself that 'I must be in it to win it!':TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I've started entering dailies every day this month, so haven't seen a win from one yet. I originally thought they seemed like a lot of effort, but then I thought if somebody posted the comp as a new thread I would immediately click and be happy to spend the thirty seconds to enter, so why is it more effort just because it is the same one? If you see what I mean. I think it's psychological!0

Good one!!! You have changed the way I feel about dailies!!!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I do agree that is psychological. But I dont wana feel rubbish and pressured to do them everyday. Comping should be an enjoyable hobby. Not something that stresses me outStarted comping October 2012, Wins so far - 1Xbook, 1xMoam Stripes, 1XYoomi feeding set and little lamb0

i was starting to feel pressured to do the dailies every day, was starting to think they were a chore
so i sat back and said to myself i'll operate on a if i can be bothered basis, so i only do them on the days i can be bothered and i dont stress about the days i cant do them
ive only done them twice this week and im not stressing about it0 -
To do all the dailies takes me about an hour a day...including some weekly and games (like the current sodoku one)....and it's paid me well this year. People don't bother which means the odds are better for those who do, and don't forget that if compers can't be bothered the normal folk definitely aren't likely to bother more than once.
A while ago some of the magazines with the irritating yes/no surveys pages upped them to 5 questions, that drove entries down as people stopped bothering. I saw it as annoying but a second longer to enter and MUCH less competition for the same prizes....and apart from me winning several from them for a change, quite a few friends who kept up doing them also won. I think they still haven't recovered from that stupid move with extra questions yet even though they have reduced it to the old level or less now.
Winning comps is ALL about odds or all about effort ..if the comp is random then you need to maximise your odds by entering all you can. Doing otherwise isn't logical. People who like effort comps can spend hours either creating or begging for votes....and get nothing most of the time....probably about the same time spent as me doing dailies but with much less success and from what I hear and see..quite a downer when they get pipped at the post. (By a CHEAT!!!!@@@"((&&@@ lol ) .
Apart from some pretty nice stuff this year which may be a bit of a fluke, it's a constant stream of one or two a month usually which keeps your pecker up when things aren't going so well.
I don't do ALL dailies though, I have no interest in some prizes and only include them on my little Facebook regular comp page because some others might like the prize, they probably also leave stuff out that I enter.
There are people who have to enter everything though, that's the road to madness IMO. Not very logical, even if numbers are key to winning a lot....it's not like we're short of comps with good prizes after all is it?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
