IVA company claiming back my PPI

My IVA company have written to me saying they have a duty to reclaim mis-sold PPI on my behalf.
Is this correct?
I don't think I have any mis-sold PPI so they are chasing a lost cause. But if it turned out I did, would I see any of the money or would it all go towards paying my IVA?

dontt bother about it .just wait till your i.v.a. has ended then go to town on these bad bankers if you have been cajoled into signing for a p.p.i

Hi,

I was told this but said my iva had finished and was waiting for my certificate, I have gone for ppi now been upheld and should get a cheque through but a lot of mixed signals on here to weather I will or won't get it as the loan was sold on, so it's just a waiting game.

hi i had exactly the same. My iva company said they have a duty to reclaim PPI,i was sure i didnt have any but they said they still have to claim. The other day i got a letter from one of my banks about an account i had with them that had PPI ! I was completely un aware of this. My IVA also said that I do not have the right to keep any of MY money that I was miss-sold that now my IVA class as a windfall and keep the lot ! really annoyed about it as effectively i was conned out of my money in the first place. !!!

I filled out the form at the IP's request and then got a letter a few days later saying it wasn't worth them pursuing it.
I knew I hadn't got any PPI

Suggest you have a look back at some recent posts regarding PPI and IVAs. It has come up on more than one occasion and I doubt anyone has anything extra to add that has already been said.
