Well done Jodenice
dont let the gits get away with it, when I look back at the things I have done I always wonder how I got away with it.:o
I remember when we had the electricity showroom near us, it was like currys is today, had a selection of irons hoovers fridges etc on display.
I bought a hoover and a few weeks later it conked out, well it was the usual spiel, 'will send it back to manufacturers', 'let you know'.
About a week later I got a letter saying that they wouldnt replace it, as, wait for it......, I had misused it. how on earth can you misuse a hoover, you move it forward, you move it around, so I couldnt see how I misused it.
I troops into the shop, guns blazing and all that, and they still wouldnt replace it, I dont know what came over me, but I went up to where they had a selection of hoovers, chose one, walked past the assistant, and said, 'fair exchange is no robbery'and carried on walking out the store carrying this hoover.
When I got up the road a bit, I had to stop as I was shaking, I couldnt believe what I had done, kept turning round expecting someone to be chasing after me.
When I got home, I was still in shock as I realised the seriousness of what I had done, was on pins expecting a knock at the door from the police.
I never got a letter, or a phone call, or police, so I kept it.:D
This happened a few years after the cooker business, and except for one more complaint over something else, I havent had to go to these extremes again.:D0 -

Oh my god! I like to think I can stand up for myself if pushed but that really puts me to shame! :T0 -
Our DFS sofa had massive branding marks on the back of it and scratches to the leather where the cow rubbed up against barbed wire. I complained about it even when it was being taken off the van, they sent a 'leather expert' to look a week later.
He took one look at it and apologised profusely. Offered money off or a replacement. Said it would be ruined in 2 years if we kept it, so we've opted for a new one. He wanted the store manager to come round and look at it (it was a new range of sofas) so the manager came over the week after. He was a rude ba**ard to my gf, trying to get us to take money rather than reorder a new one.
Eventually we ordered a new one. Have we seen any gesture of goodwill for our wasted time? Have they sent anything in writing confirming a new sofa? nope, utter unprofessional timewasters. I hate that they had the sofa I wanted, as I didn't want to buy from them.0 -
OMG it sounds like my sofa
the guy who sold it to us said that not to worry as the arms come off so it will go in as it reduces size bay blah blah
well it came an wouldnt fit with out a little sqieeze so i said to the guys just take the arm off he looked at me so stange and said the arms dont come off

To be fair to them, we have had a good experience with DFS - my wife was moving the couch and somehow managed to pull some foam off the inside of a back panel (leather body, fabric cushions) and after a quick call to the store they sent an upholsterer out within a couple of days and I watched in amazement as he unpicked the base, messed around inside, retrieved the bit of foam, spray glued it back in place, re-assembled and air stapled everything back in place as good as new.Shuffle up and deal!0
