Hi,
I'm off to Toronto next week (using the Zoom Air cheap ticket offer from a few months ago) flying from Cardiff
So far I've planned to goto CN Tower/Eaton Centre/Niagara/Bluejays baseball game
We have a hire car and will be staying downtown.
Does any one have any recommendations on other "must do" things/place to see that I might have missed or any advice/tips tricks in general
Cheers in advance for any help

Hi
My wife and I visited 2 years ago - you will love it!
We found Casa Loma on the outskirts of the city a great visit (to the north I think). There website is:
http://www.casaloma.org/Main/MainDyn.asp and is a large house built by a guy who was 'made' of the Royalty, there are 'free' radios which tell you what you are looking at.
You said you were going to Niagara falls, do go on the USA side as it is much better - it is a National Park for them and little comercial things to 'bother' you. Maid of the Mist is a must too.
You can 'see' the Baseball centre for 'free' if you go into the cafe bar which is part of the complex (can not remember what they are call - big name though).
Try to sort out your routes before you get there as the roads are large and it is easier to follow a map google maps is a good site which will give directions etc.
We flew from Cardiff with Zoom, great airline. We were cheeky, and parked in a street, dropped the wife and bags off, went bag a couple of mile and parked on a housing estate nearby - called a local taxi company from a real address - waited outside for its arrival, save £8 per day :-)) but that may be a bit too far to go in saving?
We went on to tour the USA (New York/ Washinton/ Boston etc) a real great time.
Enjoy!0 -
Hi Rikmartin, we're doing the same in May, cheap flights +8 nights etc etc
After extensive searching and researching we're doing the following
Niagara Falls
Niagara On The Lake (pretty uncommercialised village, by the lake !!!!!)
CN Tower ....at dusk (go for a meal, get free lift up to restaurant)
Blue Jays Baseball Game (buy tickets and print them online from can$3)
Toronto Zoo
Ferry to Center Island (chill-out place with bike rides etc and Centreville)
Ontario Science Museum
Casa Loma Castle
Hockey Museum
Medievil Nights - Show & Dinner ????
(a lot of the above can be accessed using the 'City Pass' at great discounts)

I went to Toronto last September and had a great time - it's a really nice city
Definitely go to Casa Loma - it was beautiful.
Another vote for going out to the Toronto islands too - really relaxing, very pretty and a nice very nice for a stroll.
Niagara on the Lake was beautiful - there's lots of vineyards there so an excuse to try out the local produce. The other thing we did at Niagara on the Lake was the jet boats. Not sure whether you like that kind of thing, but it was so much fun going through the rapids and getting soaked. http://www.whirlpooljet.com - there's also an option for a covered boat so you don't get wet.....
Would also recommend a restaurant called "Spring Rolls" which serves Asian cuisine - it's a chain and there's a couple of them around. The food was sooooo nice. In fact, I was thinking about it the other day and how yummy it was!
I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time - I would jump at the chance to go over there again.0
