Refund on a used car purchase from a main dealer

Hi, sorry for the delay in updating but the news is good. Yes hubby did get a refund on the car - yippee. I think his insistence on getting his money back and perseverance with the situation did pay off. Or perhaps they did realise they were completely in the wrong. He had to drive the car back down south (435 miles from Aberdeen) but thought it worth it to get his money back. Just to let you all know that the MB customer service was a complete joke, not willing to help much. Basically they said because it was a MB franchise, we were dealing with the dealer and not MB. The GM took great delight in telling hubby that he had been brought in to turn the dealership round from 57th place to no 1 place. The same dealership where my husband was called a liar and threatened to be taken to court - nice. Also said the salesman who sold him the car was a "fly by night and did not fit in with the culture of the dealership". Just goes to show that buying from a main franchised dealer gives you no better service/protection than Arfur Dailys Dodgey Deals on Wheels!
