how to get rid of AVG

hi, my AVG is not working properly! I think it always something about control centre messed up or something... well it doesn't work! and my computer is so slow so I wanna get rid of it and some other things and put avg back on, how do I get rid of it? its not letting me uninstall it says error (sorry can't rightly remember as it is on my pc and I have been using laptop but have to get pc sorted now!!)

Try installing a new version over the top and it should repair it0
