Insurance Claim

Hi, does anybody know if I can claim on my contents insurance for a damaged sofa? I have an iron mark on my leather sofa, did it earlier today, it was an accident obviously! I do have accidental damage cover, but don't want to ring them if they can't help, as it will get recorded wont if, as a claim (had this earlier this year, when I dropped my iPhone and the screen smashed, but I decided to fix it away from the insurance).
Thanks guys

If you have accidental damage cover then yes it would cover you accidentally burning your sofa
A question will be how old the sofa is and if its still made for them being able to deal with it but that is a separate matter0 -
