I Sent a Faster payment using cahoot yesterday to my prepaid mastercard (Kalixa), Payment would have been available in that prepaid account today so i could withdraw and go to Glasgow.
Well I found out it didn't credit this morning so i called the bank to my surprise they told me, The payment was blocked because the account details were suspicious!! outrageous, This started around 10:30 and its not 15:20.
They still haven't put the funds back into my cahoot account. Not forgetting all the 0844 calls to try get this fixed, Still under investigation.
Should I claim compensation for the fact the messed my entire day and stressed me out!!!.
Some helpful advice would be good.

On your second point, I wonder whether this was the first time you have sent a payment from cahoot to your prepaid mastercard.
I ask that because I always take the precaution of advising cahoot by secure message when I first set up a transfer to a new payee so that they won't question whether it - or any subsequent similar transfer - is a valid request from me.".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0 -
Not necessarily - it only has to be there by end of today, so you were too late.

Well the payment was blocked so it wont be sent.
Also I've sent money to orange cash and clearcash and aa money card.0 -

I have found cahoot to be a bit inconsistent in what is considered to be 'unusual activity' on my account, which is why I now keep them fully informed by advising them of the sort code/account number of any new payee.".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0 -

Fraud to prepaid card is pretty common.
You can't claim compenstaion for them blocking the payment. T/C and security checks cover this.
But the fact that the money is not back in the account. Is strange. As blocking the transaction would leave the funds where they are in your cahoot acc.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Well cahoot accepted they were in the wrong and gave me £15 for wasting my day.0

To be honest you have probably got lucky with this one because in their terms and conditions they can block any payment they want to if they deem it to be a possible fraudulent transaction.
The £15 was probably just to cover phone calls etc0 -

In my case I waspleased they did. My account was hacked and the fraudster was trying to withdraw £2k.0 -
At least the good thing with cahoot is when you do complain the person you complain to deals with the complaint rather than passing it onto someone ghost department. I'm happy to hear that they sorted out your complaint for you thought, too many times you read on these forums about ongoing complaints with different Banks and cahoot seems to be one of the only ones I've ever come across where its resolved in a really short time.0
