fixed price deal possible when may be moving?

Hi, hope someone can give me some advice. My current deal with Npower ends in a few weeks and so am looking at switching supplier. I was considering going on to a fixed rate tariff as it looks like prices will go up again next year. However there is a strong likelihood of moving house within the next 6 months. Would it be possible to get a fixed price deal or be for the best to change supplier to an ordinary variable deal. Also what charges are likely to be made when I do move?
Many thanks

No need for 2 threads - you'll only get even more confused.
