Hi ALL,

We are FTB from South London looking for a 2 bed house with a small garden and our budget is £240k. Though we are located in Wallington it’s impossible to get a house as per our requirements and we are looking for areas like Coulsdon,Kenley,Cateram. We are not looking for move again in the short term (at least for next 15 years) so it will be family home for some time until our kids grew up. Obviously its long journey to C. London where I work but I guess I have to do some compromise.

Anybody living in that area or had lived there could you please give me some thoughts about the area I am looking for. I have browse internet and some threads even in here but limited information is available.

We are interest in Coulsdon, Cateram and Kenley.

Appreciate any help.

  • I also lived in south London for many years, including Wallington and if I were you I would look further out at places such as Horsham.

Its a really nice small town, compact, decent links to London and a good place to raise a family (in my opinion).

Also, with a 15 year timescale I reckon you need more than 2 bedrooms.
